Dear Mr. Pickles Fans,

Due to the extremely rigorous schedule this week, I have been unable to find extra time to keep up the blog. Every morning I had to rise early to workout with the other robots. The team would meet me around 7 am. We would then compete in grueling matches through out the day. This level of competition is really difficult. I did not have an ounce of energy left by the end of the day. The team would have to leave me at the convention center each evening. While they were off having a fun time, I was sleeping. One very cool thing we got to do … celebrate James’ birthday!

Right now I am traveling back to Woodinville with the Burkett/Brady family. I was told it would be a long boring ride. We will not be stopping for any site seeing. As disappointing as that is, I do want to get back to the shop as soon as possible. I miss my friend Bert from Swerve Alpha.

The St. Louis Waterfront

The St. Louis Waterfront

On Monday we arrived in St. Louis. The weather was rainy and a decision was made to keep me indoors. Heidi felt my team would not be happy if I started to rust.  We did not visit the Gateway Arch because the riverfront area was experiencing flooding. Our hearts go out to those family’s that have been effected.

Tuesday afternoon the team flew in from Woodinville. After they settled in we took care of club business and then had some fun taking glamour shots. Next on the agenda, dinner at Stephano’s, but not for me. 🙁  I had to stay at the hotel. I think Sara-Beth snitched on me. The team seemed to think I needed to work more on that diet. Bummer!

Shed Those Pounds

Shed Those Pounds

I tend to carry my extra weight in my side panels. After great debate a weight loss treatment was recommended to improve handling and speed on the competition field. Part of Tuesday was spent swapping out my original steel plates for new aluminum ones. Thank you Sam for the amazing paint job!
